RedEye Interactive is a BBS conceived as a meeting place, trading post, portfolio bank, etc. for the best in the interactive trades. Our mission is to provide an on-line marketplace dedicated to servicing the needs of the multimedia community.

For the Interactive Artist or Programmer:

purchase and download them on-line.
• Pick and choose artists on the cutting edge of technology by reviewing their
portfolios online.
• Purchase and/or review selected works from selected CD-ROM developers.
• Participate and meet with experts in the interactive and multimedia fields.
When you log in please review each of the folders in the "Getting Started" folder. Each folder contains important information about using RedEye Interactive. In addition, feel free to download and preview the samples located in "The Library" folder on the Desktop.
It is our hope that after exploring the board, you would consider subscribing and becoming a member of RedEye Interactive, the newest and hottest BBS dedicated to connecting all users involved in the interactive trades!
Please note: We have just learned at the time of this writing that the RedEye Interactive Graphical interface is a winner of the 1995 New Media INVISION awards silver medal for best on-line interface.
This document contains everything you need to start using our graphical BBS. Please read the instructions fully to make the installation relatively easy and painless.
Warning: this specific software is optimized for Macintoshes (non-Power Macs). However, you can run this software on your Power Mac if you disable the Power Mac Quicktime Power Plug found in your extensions folder and then restart. Make sure to enable this extension after you have used our software. By the time this Virtual Disk is distributed, we should have a Power Mac version without this bug that can be downloaded from our board. If you do not take these steps, the animation sequences incorporated throughout the interface will run too slow.
For users without the FirstClass Client:
After reading this message, please return to the Main Menu and select the "Download the Software" button. This button will bring you to the finder. Navigate to the Virtual Disk and double-click on the file named "Client w/1.2". It should launch. When a box appears prompting you to continue, click continue. When asked for a destination, you can choose anywhere on your hard drive. When the program finishes installing, it will send you back into the Finder. You are now set up to use our BBS; just launch the application "FirstClass Client 2.6", and choose "RedEye Interactive" in the dialog box.
Please note that the Macintosh version of our software looks best in 256 colors. Also note that the FC Client application must have at least 3 megs of RAM allocated to it to run our software effectively.
RedEye Interactive Inc. currently has 5 working modem lines. All lines are seek lines that begin with 914-962-0092. Occasionally one of our modems is not working properly and may have to be reset. If this happens, you may have greater success logging in on one of the other modem lines directly.

An alternative way to download The RedEye BBS Software and/or updates is via our World Wide Web site. The WWW location is "http://red-eye.com/redeye/" . The site is now active. RedEye for Windows Beta is now being distributed at this site as well.
